The Nitro® Heavy-Duty 135° Split Point drill with Nitride surface treatment gives a hard, protective layer to the drill (increases hardness without increasing brittleness), which is measurably harder than High Speed Steel (HSS). Body and clearance are black and gold surface treated for maximum lubricity. Recommended for use in stainless steel and other hard metal drilling. Mechanic's length drill lengths are in-between jobber length and screw machine (stub) length. 3-flat shank helps to reduce slippage in the drill chuck. Available in bulk packaging.
