Atlas Copco MicroTorque Programmable Tools

Here we have the programmable MicroTorque screwdriver system from Atlas Copco featuring the MT Focus 400 controller with Handheld MicroTorque Tool.

The precision handheld MicroTorque screwdrivers are great for low torque applications where quality and consistency is key. The MT screwdrivers are also ESD certified to be used in electrostatic sensitive applications. This light weight, low noise tool features an ergonomic metallic handle with configurable push to start trigger and reverse switch. A current controlled shut off system offers consistent accurate torque time after time with excellent traceability. These handheld screwdrivers are available in torque ranges of 0.4 – 22.13 in lbs. and speeds up to 1,350 rpm.

For automated workflows the MicroTorque controller also works great in combination with a torque arm and fixtured tools such as the ETF series or the award winning QMC tools. 

The MT Focus 400 controller has a compact space saving design as well as an easy to read user friendly display. It offers torque and angle monitoring, advanced seating control tightening strategies, full process control and can detect and eliminate common assembly problems at the source such as cross-threading. Simple intuitive buttons offer the operator a range of functions such as setting batch size and access to up to 20 programmable torque P-sets. A smart Auto-Set function saves time during setup by selecting the correct torque and speed for a specific joint. The colored background provides clear operator feedback for OK / Not OK / and Batch OK. Several I/O and communication ports allow for assembly line integration, advanced error proofing, or adding on accessories and external devices for full automation control.

For a more detailed analysis and quality control the controller can be attached to a PC. Using the ToolsTalk MT software allows for access to real-time data collection, visual graph analysis, full traceability and auditing. Using ToolsTalk MT users can also easily create tightening strategies in several sequences and parameter sets with full error proofing. The addition of ToolsNet allows for storing and sharing of all the collected process data on the web.
